For a long time the print media was without a magazine devoted to gay community. Every sector of the market was targeted and the gay community was unswervingly ignored. However, all this changed when the media moguls saw the power of pink pound. There were suddenly not one or two but several gay magazines on the market, that were about gays, by the gays and for the gays.

FHM and Maxim are leading publications followed by others such as Men's Health, Esquire and Smooth.
